Sweeten your holiday season with the Bake Sales and Baking Competitions at Christmastime in Arthur! Whether you’re looking to indulge in delicious homemade treats or show off your own festive baking skills, there’s something for every baker and sweet tooth. From cookies and squares to creative holiday desserts, join us in celebrating community, creativity, and the flavours of the season.

Baking Contest
Date: Friday November 28, 2025
Location: Arthur Curling Club
Time of Competition: 3:00pm sharp!
Drop-off time: starting at 2:30pm
Rules of the competition:

You must be 18 years+ to enter

*NEW* You must be a resident of Wellington North, Mapleton, the Township of Minto or South Gate to enter.

Entries must be made solely by the person entering competition (including pastry, where applicable)

Squares are to be cut into 2”x2” pieces
-
Competitor must include the recipe with each entry – tape recipe to the bottom of the paper plate.

Entries must be placed by 2:55 pm Friday, November 29th, 2024 to be eligible.

4 baking categories available – a competitor may enter each category, but may only have 1 entry/category

All entries are to be on a luncheon-sized paper plate and to be in clear plastic bags for judging. NO saran wrap allowed. NO staples. NO warm baking.

Each qualifying entry into a category requires 3 pieces of baking (1 for each judge to sample)

All baking must be peanut-free/nut-free
-
Deadline date for registration is Sunday November 23, 2025.
